Art from the Heart is about creating more collective and safer spaces for our communities to heal, move and play together.
For the art portion of this event we will express our creativity by a creative process of tranforming sweater and t-shirts. Unleash your creativity as we guide you through theraputic art techniques. This hands on session promises a blend of artistic exploration and emotinal wellbeing. No artistic experience is required just come and let the healing begin. limited spots available. Nicole Brown Faulknor registered Psychotherapist and Yoga instructor https://www.wounds2wings.com; https://www.teaocanada.com will be leading our movement therapy class with a focus on destigmatization (shame & trauma) of the body through movement. A movement therapy class and gentle stretch for those needing some time to rest and play - in an unhurried and loving space to offer their bodies the space it deserves to explore healing itself, through this self-healing process.
Alana Decker a local Artist in our community will be leading us in creating art that is healing that we can take pride in! We want to continue to feel the power to move and feel free in the space we are in.
There will be refreshments and snacks provided.
This event will be at The W Programming Centre, 20 Dickson Street, Unit 101, Cambridge, ON on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 from 1:30 - 3:30 PM.
